WHY JOIN SIC
CONSULTANT DEVELOPMENT
Our consultants are our greatest resource, so we invest heavily in their professional and personal development. After undergoing training through 6 consultant development workshops, the hands-on learning continues in case teams, where skills in research, teamwork, analytical thinking, creativity, leadership, and client interaction are developed. As a result, consultants learn both quantitative and qualitative skills that will ensure professional success in any industry.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Following two semesters of being a consultant, our consultants can apply to become Project Leaders (PL). Aside from leading a team of 4 - 6 through semester-long projects, PLs also work on the Executive Board to shape the club's direction and plan club-wide initiatives. Alongside the current PLs, the President and both Vice Presidents (Internal and External) also sit on the Executive Board; its flat hierarchal structure allows for great impact and each consultant's voice to be heard.
SIC
FAMILY
At SIC, we make many of our best memories with each other. From club-wide retreats and formals that occur every semester to impromptu cookouts and happy hours across project teams, members are free to organize events for the entire club. The friendships that we end up making at SIC are invaluable sources of support throughout our time at Penn, and inevitably last beyond our four years of college.
WHERE OUR CONSULTANTS WORK
During their time at SIC, consultants are able to develop several skills necessary for success in the workplace as they work on their projects. In addition, they receive immense professional support from upperclassmen through interview practice, resume reviews, and the wide network of SIC alumna. As a result, our consultants end up interning and working at the most influential companies in a multitude of industries after their time at SIC.
